A magnificent Scandinavian painted pine cabinet and buffet, likely dating to the 18th or early 19th century. The lower section features four drawers with original iron bail handles and keyhole escutcheons, framed by reeded pilasters and a bold stepped cornice. The upper hutch opens to reveal a beautifully preserved interior painted in a soft dusty blue, fitted with small drawers, open cubbies, and a scalloped valance detail. The exterior retains its original deep red ochre paint with layers of beautiful wear, revealing the warm pine beneath and traces of decorative painted motifs on the door panels. A piece of rare character and age.
